Balinese-style stone gateways front Amandari’s thatched-roof Suites, which open on three sides via sliding glass doors to lush garden courtyards. Paras stone walls ensure complete privacy, and interiors feature coconut and teak wood accents.

Ayung Suite, Amandari    Offering a duplex configuration, the free-standing Ayung Suite offers a private pool and a unique open-air atmosphere, with teak and marble decorative accents and expansive views of the Ayung River Valley.

3 Bedroom Villa, Amandari   Composed of five pavilions, a lush garden and a two-tiered swimming pool, the 1,500-square-metre (16,146 square feet) Amandari Villa features three detached terrace-style bedrooms around a glass-walled living room and kitchen. Start your journey    Signifying new beginnings, the Balinese Melukat purification ceremony is the finishing touch of Amandari’s revitalising signature spa journey, which also includes a full body exfoliation using black rice and cinnamon, a body wrap of mineral-rich volcanic clay, and a therapeutic head massage.

Traditional Indonesian treatments    Using local ingredients, traditional wellness rituals include Mandi Lulur, the classic preparation of a Javanese bride for her wedding day with a massage, body mask, exfoliation and herbal bath. Mandi Rempah includes a massage with ginger and clove, a body wrap of red clay and nutmeg, and a coconut milk and lavender bath.

Aman Skincare    Spa treatments incorporate Aman’s all-natural skincare range, grouped into three unique formulations – Grounding, Purifying and Nourishing.  Products include body balms, anti-ageing serums, body oils, dew mists and more, and can be purchased for use at home.

 

DINING

Discover the flavours of Bali with dishes ranging from smoked duck and turmeric-scented rice to fish satay and chargrilled prawns. Or choose a comforting dish from home on the international menu. Seasonal ingredients are sourced from local organic farms, while freshly caught seafood is brought from the coast daily. Private dining is available 24 hours a day for guests in the comfort of their Suites.

The Restaurant  – Overlooking the swimming pool with all-embracing views of the Ayung River Valley, the open-air Restaurant serves Indonesian and Western cuisines for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The main dining room seats 48, while a private dining room upstairs caters for 12. Every evening at dusk, gamelan players perform their intriguing melodies accompanied by a chorus of birds.

The Bar    Glowing with the soft emerald light of sunshine through leaves, the Bar rests adjacent to the pool. The ideal location for a refreshing drink or light meal throughout the day, it is also the perfect spot for a cocktail to toast the setting sun. Open until 11pm every night, it is a convivial venue for after dinner drinks.

Bespoke Dining  – Watch the sun set as the waters of the Ayung River rush by below, then dine in consummate privacy with a menu designed just for you. Perched right on the lip of the Ayung River Gorge, the open-sided Bale can cater for up to four people. The Lotus Pond is another venue for private dining, offering seclusion and privacy for 8 diners.
